What is KaonForge?
KaonForge is a home for original characters and the indie comics they appear in. Each one gets a dossier with art, backstory and timelines, so one link can hold their whole story.
You can publish series and comics, link your cast across creators and credit the people who helped. The beta is invite-only and small on purpose while we polish the studio and reader.
Character pages that go deeper
Character pages hold art, backstory and multiple timelines (alternate universe versions) on the same dossier, so you do not need a separate wiki site per version.
On each timeline you can set a story path: the reading order that matches how their story actually unfolds, even if you published comics out of sequence. Comics not on that path still show up under Other appearances, pulled from cast automatically.
Need to point readers at a wiki, portfolio or older hosting page? Add off-site references on each timeline (a label and https link). They show at the bottom of the dossier.
Commissioned art? Add external credits on a character version so the artist's name lives on the page. Connections link to other characters (allies, rivals, family, etc) across creators. Cameos let another creator feature your character in their comic. Both need the other creator's approval, and cross-creator links show By @owner so credit stays clear.
Build your studio
When you are ready to publish, start with series and comics, add chapters and publish pages. Character dossiers and comics live in the same studio, so your cast and your chapters stay linked.
Team up with other creators
Invite collaborators to co-edit the same comic or series. Co-ownership lets co-creators share a character dossier with a "Created By" team line on the public page.
When someone wants to reference your character, requests land in your Requests inbox. Approved cameos and connections show on the public dossier and comic pages. Readers see a credit strip at the end of each chapter; creator profiles have a Collaborations section for work you did with others.
Read and browse
Published character pages and comics are on Discover. Comic landing pages and the reader are public. Your drafts stay in the studio until you publish.

Before you publish, skim the Community Guidelines. That is where the house rules live.
